I am a LCSW-C (Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical) who works with individuals, families, and couples. I earned my MSW in Clinical Behavioral Health from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, as well as a B.A. from Georgetown University and an MBA from George Washington University.
My background includes work in outpatient clinics, community-based behavioral health, and partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient settings (PHP/IOP). I have been honored to work with people from diverse backgrounds, including hospice patients, military populations, and individuals living with developmental disabilities. As a former Peace Corps volunteer in Central America (RPCV), I speak Spanish with non-native fluency and have lived and worked in several countries.
I utilize a client-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. My work is integrative and draws from multiple modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as Narrative, Somatic, and Gestalt therapies. When working with families and couples, I draw upon my training in the Gottman Method, Imago Therapy, and Family Systems work.
